- Assorted Dark Blue and Purple Prints (1 yd. total)

Note: Press all seams toward hexagon when making block units. Press seams to one side when assembling rows.

Assemble Block Units

Unit A
Sew one triangle to one side of a hexagon. Sew another triangle to the opposite side of the first. Make 13.

Unit B
Sew a triangle shape to right and left bottom sides of hexagon. Make 4.

Unit C
Sew triangle shape to one side of hexagon. Make 2.

Assemble Quilt

Quilt is assembled in rows. Press seams as indicated by arrows. Rows are then sewn together to form quilt top. See illustrations below. Layer, quilt and bind.

Cut six 1.5" x 18" of blue to length for inner border. Cut six 2.5" x 18" strips of green. Sew blue and green strips together. Center and stitch one strip set to each side of quilt top (right sides together), stopping 1/4" away from point, there will be a 2" overhang on each end of the strip. Press toward border. Sew strip sides together to create mitered corners so quilt top lays flat.

Layer quilt and bind as desired.
