| Cutting Directions
- Cut ten 6 1/2" x 10 1/2" black rectangles for blocks. - Cut 2 1/2" strips x width of fabric three each of the magenta, turquoise and blue/gray for blocks. - Cut four 6 1/2" x 6 1/2" black squares for basket corners. - Cut four 1 3/4" strips x width of fabric from light blue for first border. - Cut five 6 1/2" strips by width of fabric from black for outer border. Optional: Cut four 3/4" strips by width of fabric from magenta to appliqué outer border. Print out pattern and trace tulip shapes, stems, leaves, triangles and basket handles onto smooth side of the fusible webbing. Cut out along traced lines. (Seam allowance is not necessary for this type of appliqué (see our fusible appliqué tips below). Fuse to fabrics following illustration and cutting diagram. Cut motifs from fabrics.
Sewing Directions
Peel paper backing of fusible webbing from tulip, stems and leaves. Position stems in center of black
When fusing is complete, stitch flowers in place using invisible thread and small zigzag stitch.
Quilt Assembly
Add 1 3/4" light blue strips to sides, then to top and bottom for first border. Measure side borders, sew
Layer and quilt as desired.
