Block Construction
After cutting the pieces needed for the block, lay them out to be sure all the pieces are correct.
Then join the green and white pieces together one section at a time.
Next, join the left side pieces together and the right. Complete by joining the two sides together.
Border Strips
Cut twenty 1 1/2" strips from the dark green border fabric.
From each strip you will cut two 8 1/2" pieces and two 10 1/2" pieces.
Sew the 8 1/2" pieces to the top and bottom and the 10 1/2" pieces to the sides. Repeat this for all the blocks.
Sashing Strips
Cut thirteen 2 1/2" white strips. Cut each of these into 10 1/2" pieces. Cut two 2 1/2" dark green strips. Cut these into 2 1/2" squares. First sew twenty-five white 2 1/2" strips to the sides of the blocks.
Then join twenty-four sashing strips with the green squares.

Now join the rows together as shown in the diagram. Cut eight 1 1/2" green strips for the first border. Sew it first to the top and bottom and then to the sides.
Cut eight 7" wide strips from print fabric for the outside border. Join these together and then carefully join them to the quilt. Be sure that opposite sides are equal in length.
